GRPA Cross Country State Championships 2024

Meet Information

This is the 5th Annual GRPA Cross Country State Championships. Only cross country teams registered under Georgia Parks and Recreation Departments are permitted to participate. Club teams, school teams, and unattached runners are not permitted to participate.

2024 Meet Information / Hotels

There is a $5 parking/admission fee per vehicle.  Registration is $10 per athlete. 

The meet will be timed by Fast Feet Timing.  Live results will be available at https://www.fastfeet.us/ and will also be posted on GA Mile Split.

Registration must be completed online.  No race day registration.

Packet pick-up will be at the white canopy near the starting line. 

Medical Assistance: EMT will be located under a white canopy near the finish line.

Age control date is December 31, 2024, which means the athletes competing age is the age they will be on December 31, 2024. Recreation Departments must verify that each competing athlete's date of birth has been verified and must complete GRPA roster forms.  The link to the roster form is below:

Awards:  Medals will be given to the 1st through 20th place finishers in each race.  The top 3 finishers in each race will also receive trophies.

Team trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams in each age group and gender. The top 4 finishers for a team in each race will count for scoring. If no teams have 4 finishers in a race, the top 3 finishers for each team will be scored.

AGE DIVISIONS

8U (6-8 Year Olds) Must be 8 years of age or younger as of 12/31/24

10U (9-10 Year Olds)
 Must be either 9 or 10 years of age as of 12/31/24

12U (11-12 Year Olds)
 Must be either 11 or 12 years of age as of 12/31/24

14U (13-14 Year Olds)
 Must be either 13 or 14 years of age as of 12/31/24

Example: A runner who is currently 12 but turns 13 in November later this year is eligible to run in the 14U division, not the 12U division.

SCHEDULE

The schedule is as follows: Note, once registration has concluded and the final numbers in each race are known, the races where genders are combined may be split if the number of participants dictate doing so. Genders that run together will be separated in the results and for awards.

8:30 AM:  6-8 Boys (2k race)

9:00 AM:  6-8 Girls (2k race)

9:30 AM:  9-10 Boys (3k race)

10:00 AM:  9-10 Girls (3k race) 

10:30 AM:  11-12 Boys & Girls (3k race)

11:00 AM:  13-14 Boys & Girls (4k race)
